1+1=1 Gallery is pleased to present “Visual Poetry,” an exhibit of paintings and sculptures by Andrea Cross Guns and Trudy Skari. “Visual Poetry” opens Friday evening, September 25 at 5pm and continues through October 24th.

Opening reception begins at 5pm; informal gallery talks by Trudy and Andrea will be from 5:30 to 6pm, appetizers, desserts and wine after the talks until 8pm. Please join us, enjoy the art and meet the artists on September 25th.

VISUAL POETRY is … two local artists whose visual artwork is tied through and through with philosophy, poetic symbolism and the kind of attention to each artistic element that a poet gives to words.  Abstract expressionist paintings on wood panels by local artist, poet and musician Andrea Cross Guns paired with whimsical porcelain sculptures by ceramic artist, Trudy Skari.

Andrea and Trudy will give informal gallery talks from 5:30 to 6pm and we’ll have a reception immediately following the talks so you can pick their brains and just hang out with us.

1+1=1 Gallery also represents 15 other contemporary artists, and we always have some of their artworks on display in our Back Gallery. Come in anytime during normal gallery hours — we are delighted to talk to you about our artists, their work, and show you whatever you love. We aim to help our customers buy beautiful art they will be happy to live with for many years.

1+1=1 Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday 11 to 6; Saturday 10 to 5

Thank you! See you at the opening!
