7th Annual Young Voices Art Exhibit and Fundraiser Opens March 19, 2022

2022 Young Voices Exhibit and Fundraiser Opens Saturday, March 19

In spite of everything that’s happened in the last two years with a pandemic rocking our world, we have carried on in the safest way possible, with kids art classes at the 1+1=1 Classroom.

2022 Marks our 7th year of the Young Voices Exhibit

Young Voices is our ever growing and always fabulous student art student exhibit and fundraiser. This year we have 25 young artists ranging in age from six to twelve. Students write and record fascinating artist talks which are available on our website during the show. Depending on how our county and schools are faring with Covid, the young artists may be able to finally give their talks to live audiences in the gallery throughout the day of their Open House. Their talks are brave, sometimes humorous, serious, and always delightful. Each art student will have their own artist-page on the website, with written art statements, photos and of course, their artworks that are available to purchase.

Where to See the Young Voices Exhibit

The entire exhibit can be viewed through our online catalog during the exhibit, as well as in person at the 1+1=1 Gallery in downtown Helena from March 19th through April 9th.

Our art students used a consensus process to choose a non-profit organization to donate to this year. Your purchases of student artworks will help to support CARE’s Ukraine Crisis Fund. This fund is focused on helping families who have been displaced by the attacks in Ukraine. In years past, we have donated to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society, Grand Street Theater, Montana Wild, Food Share, the Angel Fund, God’s Love Homeless Shelter, the Friendship Center, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Holter Art Museum, Mountain Bluebird School and Green Arts Montessori.
