Large Window Exhibit in September: All Clay

All Clay Exhibit Features Many of Our Ceramic Artists for the Month of September

“All Clay” opens August 29th!

1+1=1 Gallery began representing local artists 8 years ago with our first group show, SIX! Six! included 5 ceramic artists and 1 painter. We have had dozens of exhibits featuring ceramic sculpture and pottery since that first one in our current space and it has been a joyful ride these past few years! We wanted to celebrate a kindof anniversary by showing All Clay in our featured large window exhibit during the month of September. Check is out when you are downtown, whether we are open or not. The exhibit faces the street intentionally, and all of the work is available in our online store. Come in to the gallery to touch and see the ceramics up close and personal — or jump on it and order on the website!

Featured in All Clay are some of our very favorite pottersĀ

Susan Mattson, Nancy Goughnour, Carla Potter, Maureen Cole, Trudy Skari, Gregg Edelen, Andrew Rivera, Eliza Weber, Wendy Anderson, Betsey Hurd, Bruce Kitts and others will have some of their current works in All Clay. See some peeks of the work in the gallery below.

How can I purchase the ceramics I see in the large gallery window?

Stop by 1+1=1 Gallery at 434 North Last Chance Gulch, to purchase the pottery and ceramic art in person whenever we are open, or buy directly from our Online Gallery Store. We deliver (in Helena,) ship (almost anywhere in the world) or will hold your purchases for pick up in the gallery.

What is a Featured Window Artist?

We have rotating special solo exhibits in our large, front window.Ā  It’s our gift to the folks who frequent downtown Helena. The featured window artists’ exhibits are street-facing, lighted and visible 24/7. Anyone can enjoy the artwork anytime of day or night. Every month or so, we’ll have a different artist showing their work in the large window and one or two artists in the smaller window. This is in addition to the regular exhibits we’ve always had inside the gallery on our main floor. Our Featured Window Artist displays are one way we have adapted to the pandemic. We hope many local Helenans will enjoy these tiny exhibits!

If you see something in any Featured Window Artist exhibit that you’d like to take home with you, just go to our Online Gallery Store to purchase. Or call 406-431-9931 to reserve the piece and we’ll make it happen for you.
