About Robin

Robin Leenhouts is a retired art teacher and among many other things, has made books with kids from kindergarten through 8th grade. She personally uses her books as trip journals (writing, painting, sketching and gluing stuff in). These go back 33 years!

Since retirement she has honed her skills including occasional book restoration. Her books use high quality unlined papers inside and decorative papers outside; sometimes hand printed (by Maureen!), hand marbled or painted. Robin also makes some smaller books, pamphlets and tablets which are good to use any way you might imagine.

Besides making and drawing in books she gardens, walks, hangs out with her cat, canoes, reads, makes baskets and is crazy about her friends.

Robin Leenhouts is represented in Helena, Montana by 1+1=1 Gallery. Her artwork is always available for viewing during regular business hours at the gallery located at 434 N. Last Chance Gulch. Please call 406.431.9931 for more information about Robin’s work.
