Please join us for a wine-and-cheese-meet-the-artists closing reception at 1+1=1 Gallery
On September 22, we are celebrating this fabulous exhibit before we take it down, and want to give locals a chance to visit with Jean Albus and Tim Carney in case you missed their gallery talks at the opening last month.
If you know or admire fine woodworking and photography, come chill with us.
Wine & Cheese Reception: 5:30 to 7pm
It’s Free
Giveaway: one lucky person will win their pick of one of Tim Carney’s fab live-edge maple serving boards, a wheel of Brie, a bottle of bubbly and a pile of wine accessories. Drawing will be held at 6:30pm. Must be present to win.
Where: 1+1=1 GAllery, 434 N. Last Chance Gulch, Helena, Montana
You know you’ve always admired Tim Carney’s woodworking — especially his unique furniture — Tuesday evening is a great opportunity to pick his brains and find out how he designs from nature with live-edge slabs. Tim puts his unique and personal stamp on an organic flowing woodworking style made popular by George Nakashima, Sam Maloof and Tage Fried. We have stools, tables, sushi-plate-chopstick-sets, serving boards … something for everyone.
Outdoor folks, photography lovers, art lovers, folks who appreciate the thought that goes into creating art with a camera — you will all discover something of interest when you meet Jean Albus and see her amazing artwork! Come find out what it might be like to walk around in Jean’s brain (using her eyes) on one of her walks. She is a fascinating character, interesting to talk to and listen to … we hope you’ll leave with a better understanding of the motivations and inspirations behind her fabulous artwork.
Take a look: we had a blast at the opening reception for the show on August 14th:
