Celebrate the Body Opens May 12th

“Celebrate the Body” opens May 12 with an elegant opening reception

Wine and appetizers … and most importantly, fabulous art jewelry, wearable art, figurative paintings and sculpture.

Opening night is Friday May 12th, during Downtown Helena’s Spring Art Walk.  Can’t make it Friday evening? Come by for our Open House on Saturday May 13th, where we’ll have refreshments and you can view and shop in a quieter setting. The exhibit runs through Saturday, June 17th, 2023 and online through the end of June.

Please join us for opening night on Friday, May 12 from 5 to 8pm.

Stop in for a few minutes or hang out and gather with friends. Be the first to see and try on some of the art! We have incredible new jewelry and wearable art by Caroline Davis, Laurel Nathanson, Bonnie Lambert, Ashley Hanna, Joan Wescott, Christine Horner, Clare Clum, Paul Guillemette, Joyce Coolidge and Mandy Allen. Plus, we are so excited to have new figurative sculptures and paintings from artists Nancy Goughnour, Carla Potter, Dalayna Christenson and Ilse Coffman.

Wear something elegant and/or simple to show off the jewelry as you try it on. Maureen will take lovely photos of you wearing your best plus a piece of jewelry (think portraits + think hint-hint) and send them to you via cell phone! Let us help you find the perfect pair of earrings, a ring, bracelet or necklace for the mother(s) in your life. Indulge yourself and add to your art collection with a new painting or sensual clay wall sculpture.

STORIES: August 21 – Sept 30, 2021

An Exhibit of Four Storytelling Artists' New Works

"When you’re speaking in the truest, most intimate voice about your life, you are speaking with the universal voice." ~ Cheryl Strayed

Please join us on August 21st from 10 to 4, to meet the four Helena artists featured in STORIES. Each of thes artists is a storyteller and an optimist. Each is a magical being who uses narrative in her art, to tell about the human condition through humor, strength, story and beauty. Each speaks through art-making, in a true voice and therefore a universal voice. We invite you to spend time viewing these stories during the exhibit, and hope that you will bring their meaningful ideas into your own lives and homes.

Featured Artist Window Exhibitions and Online Gallery Store

It's Something New

During the first year of the pandemic, we reduced the size of our gallery exhibit floor to about two thirds the size it was during the first 7 years as a fine art gallery. We added a new classroom in the back portion of the gallery (anytime you stop by, feel free to peek into the classroom) and we transitioned the front windows of the gallery into two smaller exhibitions for one or two artists at a time. These window exhibitions rotate about every 3 to 4 weeks, face the street and are available for viewing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! This is something we decided to do for our community, to extend the gallery outside of our physical walls, and make artwork in a wide range of prices available for all to see, appreciate and buy.  We are also happy to take you downstairs into what we can "Grandma's Basement" where you can browse through our art storage area to discover "hidden" art treasures not exhibited up on the gallery floor. Just ask us!
